Plot Summary
- This popular TV drama depicted life in a large Los Angeles law firm. The plots were strongly character-based and dealt with both the personal lives and professional activities of the partners, associates, and staff. Scenes centered around the courtroom and the law offices. Often, an episode would open with a surprising twist, which would then be played out during the rest of the show.

Three Fugitives (1989) - As Detective Dugan
Plot Summary
- When inept, klutzy Ned Perry (Martin Short) grabs tough, notorious ex-con Daniel Lucas (Nick Nolte) as a hostage during a bank robbery, no one believes Lucas's innocent. This forces the mismatched pair to become reluctant partners in crime and run for the border with the robber's 6-year-old daughter, who has been mute since the death of her mother, in tow.
- Detective Dugan is investigating the bank robbery, and knowing Lucas's history, assumes that Lucas and Ned are pulling the heist together.

Plot Summary
- This is a fairy tale celebration of the love of baseball that was taken from the novel Shoeless Joe. Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner) is an Iowa farmer that hears a voice in his head that tells him to build a baseball diamond for the baseball heroes from the past.
- Terence "Terry" Mann is a a disillusioned author that Ray goes to see after building the baseball diamond, but continuing to still hear voices.

Best of the Best (1989) - As Coach Couzo
Plot Summary
- The U.S. karate team must work through their personal problems to fight Team Korea in a Taekwondo championship in the upcoming international competition. Single-dad Alex Grady (Eric Roberts), Travis Brickley (Christopher Penn), Virgil Keller (John Dye), and Sonny Grasso (David Agresta) are the U.S. competitors while Sally Kirkland plays the assistant coach.
- Coach Couzo is the hard nosed, strict, bellowing leader of the team that pushes the members to win. His philosophy is "A team is not a team, if you don't give a damn about each other."

The Hunt for Red October (1990) - As Admiral James Greer
Plot Summary
- The Soviets have developed a new submarine with a silent drive system. When the submarine sets sail on its maiden voyage, most of the Soviet fleet sets sail after it and the U.S. assumes that the commander, Marko Ramius (Sean Connery) has gone renegade, and is planning to launch the missiles. Jack Ryan (Alec Baldwin), an analyst working for the CIA, thinks that Ramius may just be trying to defect.
-Admiral James Greer in his first installment of the character. He is Jack Ryan's best friend and mentor.

The Ambulance (1990) - As Lieutenant Spencer
Plot Summary
- Josh Baker meets a very special woman, Cheryl, in the streets of New York. Suddenly she collapses, and she's picked up by an ambulance. When Josh wants to visit her in the hospital, it appears that she hasn't been admitted in the hospital. Josh follows the roommate of Cheryl, and she disappears after a ride in the same ambulance. It's up to Josh to solve the secret behind this strange vehicle.

Originally a made for cable movie, it concentrates on the relationship between a veteran pilot and his female co-pilot and the president's attempt to wrest control away from a war-mongering successor..

Plot Summary
- Fact based story set in Saigon in April, 1975 shortly after the US combat troops have withdrawn and immediately before the Communist forces over run the city. American citizens try to help South Vietnamese refugees escape on the last commercial flight that will be permitted to leave the city.

- Set during the Watts riots of the mid-'60s, the made-for-cable Heat Wave follows the story of Los Angeles Times reporter Robert Richardson (Blair Underwood), who was the only journalist on staff able to cover the story, since White reporters were unable to gain access to the area and the rioters.

This is a portmanteau film featuring four intriguing stories linked by the two story teller's attempts to psych each other out.

 

Gabriel's Fire (1990-1991) (TV Series) - As Gabriel Bird in 22 episodesr
Plot Summary
- Gabriel's Fire is an American television series that ran on ABC in the USA in 1990–1991. Under a new title and a somewhat revised premise, it also aired in 1991–1992 as Pros and Cons. The main character, Gabriel Bird, was a former Chicago police officer, who had been wrongfully sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his partner. In fact, he shot his partner because he saw that the partner was about to murder an innocent family in cold blood during a police raid. This incident in the character's background was inspired by the 1969 death of Fred Hampton at the hands of Chicago police and other law enforcement personnel. On the show, the street on which Bird's shooting occurred was identified as "Hampton Street". When Bird is released, he starts working as a private detective, hired by the lawyer who had helped free him.

Plot Summary
- Bayou La Teche, Louisiana sizzles as the Cajun town celebrates the wedding of Splendid and Dolan. The trouble comes on the wedding night when Splendid is determined to maintain her innocence. On the other side of town Splendids' cousin has her own problems. Her man has been sleeping with Thais, the town hooker. She heads to the Tiger Cafe with gun in hand to get back her man.

Plot Summary
- In this sketch comedy series for preteens, principles of mathematics are presented through parody and music videos. Also featured is a mock video game called "Mathman," the bumbling cartoon detective Dirk Niblick, and a farcical serial called "Mathnet."

 

Mathnet (1991) (TV Series) - As Chief Thad Green in 5 episodes
Plot Summary
- Square One TV, the kids' math show is where Mathnet first appeared. In "Mathnet" (a parody of "Dragnet") Los Angeles detectives George Frankly and Kate Monday (and later Pat Tuesday) solve various capers with the help of mathematics. Simpsons fans will also recognize Yeardley Smith, the voice of Lisa Simpson (who really does speak like Lisa in real life), in one of the earliest Mathnet stories.

 

Horton Foote's Convicts (1991) - As Ben
Plot Summary
- In 1902 Texas, 13-year-old Horace goes to work on old Soll's farm to earn enough money to buy a headstone for his father's grave. Unfortunately for Horace, Soll's senility, ill health, and obsession with the convict labor he uses to work the farm, make it unlikely that Horace will ever be paid the $12.50 Soll owes him for 6 months work.

Plot Summary
- Jack Ryan (Harrison Ford) is forced to kill an IRA terrorist while preventing the assassination of a British Royal by the IRA. Jack Ryan and his family are hunted by the dead IRA man's brother. It's somewhat based on the novel by Tom Clancy.
- Admiral James Greer returns in his second installment of the character. Admiral James Greer is Jack Ryan's best friend and mentor.

Sneakers (1992) - As NSA Agent Bernard Abbott
Plot Summary
- A group of security analysts are offered a job by the CIA and when they are reluctant, pressure is brought to bear by the threat to disclose the identity of their leader, a 60s radical with outstanding warrants. A chip exists that will allow any computer to be cracked, and organized crime will soon control it, though sudden changes in their police records suggest that it is already operational.
Dreamrider (1993) - As William Perry
Plot Summary
- A young man (Matthew Geriak) loses his leg in a motorcycle accident. While rehabilitating, he takes up cycling. He becomes determined to become the first one-legged person to cycle across the U.S. The movie follows him from his initial rehab through the completion of his historic ride in Boston, detailing all the ups and downs in between.

Plot Summary
- Set in the south of the United States just after the Civil War, Laurel Sommersby is just managing to work the farm without her husband Jack, believed killed in the Civil War. By all accounts, Jack Sommersby was not a pleasant man, thus when he returns, Laurel has mixed emotions. It appears that Jack has changed a great deal, leading some people to believe that this is not actually Jack but an imposter. Laurel herself is unsure, but willing to take the man into her home, and perhaps later into her heart.

The Sandlot (1993) - As Mr. Mertle
Plot Summary
- Scotty Smalls moves to a new neighborhood with his mom and stepdad, and wants to learn to play baseball. The neighborhood baseball guru Rodriquez takes Smalls under his wing, and soon he's part of the local baseball buddies. They fall into adventures involving baseball, treehouse sleep-ins, the desirous lifeguard at the local pool, the snooty rival ball team, and the travelling fair. Beyond the fence at the back of the sandlot menaces a legendary ball-eating dog called The Beast, and the kids inevitably must deal with him.

Excessive Force (1993) - As Jake
Plot Summary
- A group of Chicago cops are involved in a raid from which $3,000,000 disappears. The local mob go after them and the body count starts to rise. The new Chief of Police makes it clear to the last remaining officer that he will look the other way if he takes the law into his own hands. When the policeman finds he can't follow through on this someone else does and he finds himself and his girl are being hunted by more or less everyone for their own reasons.

Plot Summary
- An ex-championship boxer sees a chance at recapturing a taste of his former glory after discovering that Thunder (Courtney B. Vance), one of the amateurs he trains, has real potential. Unfortunately, Thunder has entangled himself with crooked, gang-connected manager Ralph Tate (Billy Dee Williams), and he is not to let the young fighter go without a fight. This drama was made for cable and was aired as part of Steven Spielberg's "Screenworks" project.

Plot Summary
- Law & Order is the longest running crime series and the second longest-running drama series in the history of American broadcast television. The show looks at crime and justice from two perspectives. At first the Detectives investigate the crimes and arrest the suspects, and theb sifts to the criminal courts to prosecute the accused.
- In "Profile", the hunt for a racist serial killer is aided by personality profiling that the defense uses to their advantage in court.
- Horace McCoy is an ambitious black lawyer defending an admitted racist charged with several random murders.

Plot Summary
- The Vernon Johns Story is the inspirational saga of the man who preceded Martin Luther King Jr. as pastor of a Montgomery, Alabama Baptist Church. Described as "one of God's most brilliant preachers," Johns campaigned tirelessly for Civil Rights long before the cudgel was taken up by the "mainstream." Before leaving his post, Johns passed the torch to young Reverend King, who is but a minor character in this positive, uplifting TV-movie.

Plot Summary
- In the Christmas Eve murder of a police officer, two confessions come forward. One, Robert Paul Berndt, has a rather heavy criminal background, the other, William Mothershed, is a college student with no previous record. Both confessions stand up well to scrutiny.

With the aid of a mysterious woman (Valeria Golino) who allegedly died in the bombing, he must find a priceless coin and evade the murderous clutches of the mobster (Michael Gambon) who executed the explosion and who wants to silence Pogue before he can testify against him.

Plot Summary
- With the unknowing help of Lois Lane (Teri Hatcher), Clark Kent (Dean Cain) fights crime in and around Metropolis. The rest of the cast includes Perry White, the chief editor, Catherine Grant (Tracy Scoggins), cub reporter Jimmy Olsen and arch villain Lex Luthor.
- In "The House of Luthor", Clark, Perry, Jack, and Jimmy try to figure out who really set off the explosion at the Daily Planet, while Lois worries about her wedding. Before the wedding begins, Lex traps Superman in a kryptonite cage.

Clear and Present Danger (1994) - As Admiral James Greer
Plot Summary
- A Coast Guard ship boards a luxury power yacht that happens to be owned by a friend of the President and his family. The man and his family have been murdered, then thrown overboard. The President is outraged that the murderers are drug traffickers with ties to the Cali Cartel and says that the Cartels are to be considered a clear and present danger to the United States, and that covert operations against the Cali Cartel should begin immediately.
- When the Admiral becomes ill, Ryan is appointed CIA Deputy Director of Intelligence. The Admiral was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that eventually proves fatal.

Plot Summary
- Frank Drebin is persuaded out of retirement to go undercover in a state prison. There he is to find out what top terrorist, Rocco, has planned for when he escapes. Frank's wife, Jane, is desperate for a baby.. this adds to Frank's problems. A host of celebrities at the Academy awards ceremony are humiliated by Frank as he blunders his way trying to foil Rocco.

- One of the obsessive speculations in American history is whether Thomas Jefferson, in the years before he became president, had an affair with (and fathered a child with) his 15-year-old slave Sally Hemings. This follows Jefferson to France (as the U.S. ambassador to the court of Louis XVI), following the death of his wife his friendships and flirtations with the French, his relationship with his daughters and slaves from home (especially Sally), against the backdrop of the beginning of the French Revolution.

This was a six episode midseason replacement series in spring 1995 and CBS' answer for those who wanted a drama series featuring a predominantly African American cast. It revolved around the upper middle class Langston family in Seattle, Washington, headed by patriarch Neb Langston (James Earl Jones), a widowed police sergeant who shares a home with his married son Ron and his family (Maggie, Charlotte & Derrick), his daughter Ayesha and foster son Marcus.

A Family Thing (1996) - As Ray Murdock
Plot Summary
- Earl Pilcher Jr., runs an equipment rental outfit in Arkansas, lives with his wife and kids and parents, and rarely takes off his gimme cap. His mother dies, leaving a letter explaining he's not her natural son, but the son of a Black woman who died in childbirth; plus, he has a half brother Ray, in Chicago, she wants him to visit. Earl makes the trip, initially receiving a cold welcome from Ray and Ray's son, Virgil. His birth mother's sister, Aunt T., an aged and blind matriarch, takes Earl in tow and insists that the family open up to him.

Plot Summary
- A dramatization of the life of Earl 'The Goat' Manigault (Don Cheadle), with a lot of factual based occurrences. A reformed junkie returns from prison to clean up his act and devote the rest of his life to the young kids of Harlem. 1996 was the 25th anniversary of the first tournament named after him.

Plot Summary
- Set in the 1940's, James Earl Jones as an an old clockmaker faces racism and is tried for murder when the racist is killed. However, Kevin Kilner comes forward and claims to have commmitted the crime in self defense. All the while, Kilner's family life is in disarray with various crises including his daughter catching meningitis.

Frasier (1997) (TV) - As Norman Royster
Plot Summary
- Frasier (Kelsey Grammer), is a psychiatrist and a former Cheers bar patron. He moved from Boston to Seattle to host a talk show. Frasier lives with his ex-cop father and his personal home-care provide. His neurotic brother, and his producer Roz also make regular appearances.
- In "Roz's Krantz & Gouldenstein Are Dead", Roz has several people die while she's helping out at a retirement home and Frasier wonders about the effect his talk show has on people.
- Norman Royster is blind and lives at the retirement home. When Frasier visits, he breaks a mask of Norman's that was a facial imprint of his dead wife.

Plot Summary
- When it is announced that orphans from Pakistan are going to live in Idaho, the Governor of this state declares that the borders are closed to immigrants. The dimwit President reacts by initiating a stand off that puts the orphans in the middle of the conflict. Meanwhile, News Net is on the story and is willing to do anything to get the facts. But soon, the Governor of Idaho doesn't care about the Constitutional problems anymore. All he cares about is getting back the love from his mistress, a Mexican immigrant working for News Net.

 

Stargate SG-1 ( 1997) (TV) - As Unas
Plot Summary
- Stargate SG-1 is based on the 1994 film Stargate. The Stargates allow travelers on foot to cross the vast distances of space in an instant. It focuses on the team that explores other worlds and defends Earth against alien threats. It is set in the present day, is based on Earth, and primarily involves humans.
- In "Thor's Hammer", Jack and Teal'c are trapped by a device called Thor's Hammer on the planet of Cimmeria and have to defend themselves from a Goa'uld-parasitized Unas that had been trapped long previously.
- The Unas were the first hosts to the Goa'uld, before the parasitic species encountered human beings.

Plot Summary
- In 1945, a young boy arrives in a small Georgia town on a bus from which his Mother was abducted and murdered. Alone he sits quietly and everyone becomes convinced that he was deaf and mute. Deciding that silence offered some power and protection, the boy decides to remain mute and just listens to all that is being said around him by people who thinks that he cannot hear.

Horton Foote's Alone (1997) (TV) - As Grey
Plot Summary
- Farmer and recent widower John Webb is suddenly offered money for the mineral rights to his land by a Texas oil man. Webb's nephews, Carl and Gus, Jr., become excited by the proposition since they own 50% of the land's mineral rights after receiving an earlier inheritance from their father. The nephew's wives, Estelle and Agnes, are also excited, since both families are in need of cash. But John and his best friend Grey aren't pinning their hopes on an oil discovery. They would rather stick to farming and discuss times gone by.
